$3K Stipend for Wolof Studies

Kansas African Studies Center

The Kansas African Studies Center has substantial tuition stipends for interested educators to attend the seventh annual Summer African Language Institute (SALI) which will be conducted remotely this summer. Educators from K-12 schools, minority-serving institutions, and community college instructors are particularly encouraged to apply. The Institute runs annually from June to July with intensive language courses Monday through Thursday for four hours per day. Small class sizes allow for maximum individual attention from native speakers trained in language education in a fun and relaxed environment. Courses are taught through the Department of African and African-American Studies. Several stipends of $3,000 each for teachers will be awarded. Classes at the beginner level are 10 credits split between two summer sessions, while classes at the intermediate level are 6 credits split between two summer sessions.

Learning & Leadership Grants

NEA Foundation Grants

Applicants must be teachers, education support professionals, or specialized instructional support personnel and must be current NEA members.

Amount

Learning & Leadership grants will fund projects between $1,500 and $5,000. Grants fund activities for 12 months from the date of the award.

Voya Unsung Heroes

Voya Unsung Heroes

For two decades, and with nearly $5 million in awarded grants, Voya Unsung Heroes has proven to be an A+ program with educators. The program’s “alumni” have inspired success in the classroom and impacted countless numbers of students.

Amount

50 educators are selected to receive $2,000 to help fund their innovative class projects. Three of those are chosen to receive the top awards of an additional $5,000, $10,000 and $25,000.

NECTFL (submit to your state association)

This scholarship is provided to support an individual in the development of a project that contributes to the foreign language teaching profession and advances quality language instruction.

Decision Education Teacher Fellowship

The Alliance for Decision Education

The Decision Education Teacher Fellowship brings together teachers from across the country to learn about Decision Education and implement new practices and activities with their students throughout the school year.

Decision Education Teacher Fellows help expand the field of Decision Education through their own continued learning, collaboration, and amplification of the importance of teaching students decision-making skills.

In addition to a $5,000 stipend, Teacher Fellows also become part of a professional learning community of educators who are excited to learn about Decision Education, feel passionate about its inclusion in schools, and want to help us study its impact on students.

Teacher Development Grants

McCarthey Dressman Education Foundation

For licensed k-12 teachers employed in public or private schools; have the background and experience to complete the project successfully; are willing to work in collaboration with the Foundation.

Amount

The Foundation awards grants to individuals in amounts up to $10,000 per year for a maximum of $20,000 over two years, provided the eligibility requirements continue to be met.

Innovation Circle Grant

Fund for Teachers

Fellowship proposals that prioritize teachers seeking solutions to their own, genuine problems of practice will be best aligned to grant goals. In addition, proposals that have the potential to center students as changemakers for problems in their communities are highly encouraged to apply.

Amount

Individuals may apply for up to $5,000 and teams may apply for up to $10,000 (while team members may be from different schools, districts or states, all members must meet the eligibility criteria).

AATF Valette Legacy Award (AATF members)

American Association of Teachers of French

AATF member whose program has shown significant and steady growth over the last 3-5 years. Must have been an AATF member for at least 3 consecutive years.

The cash award of $3000 may be used for professional development and program improvement

K-12 Mini Grants — PACIE

Pennsylvania Council for International Education

Apply for a mini-grant of up to $500 for K-12 projects or K-12 and higher ed. collaborative projects. The grant can be used for books, supplies, summer workshops, etc. The format should be either a mini-unit, part of a long-term unit or a new course design. Present units at PACIE conference in Fall.
