Vive l’expérience is pleased to partner with World Language PD, in conjunction with Southern Utah University, to offer registered Senegal program participants a 1-credit graduate course option and a 3-credit graduate course option.
Course Name: Contemporary Senegal
Course Description: This course is designed to help Senegal program participants gain new professional knowledge and apply that knowledge to their own unique instructional settings and circumstances.

Learning Experiences, Application and Reflection

Learn
Participate in a minimum of 15 hours of qualified activities during the program (Interactions 1-1 and in small groups with Senegalese students, professors, experts and families in various cities and villages; visits to UNESCO sites, among others). Participants will track their attendance using the Program Attendance Form.

Summarize
List 3 – 5 key points for each activity that you participated in and, for each activity, explain how each key point can contribute to standards- and proficiency-based teaching of world languages and cultures in your own classroom. Due within 2 months of trip completion (Aug. 27 or Sept. 11, 2024)

In 4-5 double-spaced pages, explain how and where what you learned was incorporated into the lessons you designed and why those ideas supported standards- and proficiency-based opportunities for your students.Due within 2 months of trip completion (Aug. 27 or Sept. 11, 2024)
